Please read carefully and ask questions if you need clarity. When you purchase a goat from Legacy Valley you are expected to have read, signed and agreed to the Sales Policy.
I, the breeder, reserve the right to retain or refuse the sale of any goat, at any time. I reserve the right to change my mind and retain any previously offered for sale prior to the final sale. Note that just because a goat is not being retained is not due to the lack of quality!
Goats offered for sale are healthy at the time of sale and the buyer, by completing the purchase, is agreeing to purchase the animal “as is”. For obvious reasons, the health and future development of any goat cannot be guaranteed after it leaves Legacy Valley. Buyers, or their representative picking up the goat, are responsible for checking a goat for signs of defects, illness or injury before they leave the property. Buyers, or their representative picking up the goat, are also asked to verify tattoos prior to leaving. No registered goat will leave prior to being tattooed.
Our herd is tested annually for CAE, Johnes and CL. Goats offered for sale may be tested for any disease desired at the buyer’s expense. I, the breeder, cannot be responsible for the health or future development of breeding stock.Does are sold as open and never guaranteed to be bred even if known to be exposed. Breeding stock bucks are, (when kept in good condition through appropriate management practices), guaranteed to breed, or a replacement will be offered upon the presentation of an official veterinary statement that documents the body condition and infertility of the buck. ADGA guidelines will be followed for replacement.
If interested in a goat, a potential buyer can place a 50% non-refundable deposit, on any kid or adult. Deposit must be received within 24 hours of the chosen goat. Please understand that all deposits are non-refundable because the buyer is asking the breeder to take an animal off the market and reject other possible offers. Without a deposit, a goat is not to be considered “reserved”. The goat and all related charges( CVI, transportation, testing, etc) MUST be paid in full prior to the goat leaving the farm. The remaining amount is due at delivery or pick-up(8 weeks for wethers or bucks 12 weeks for does). When an animal is picked up we accept CASH ONLY. Buyer may use Venmo or send a check for the deposit. If the buyer selects Purchase Protection from Venmo they are responsible for the additional fee at pick up.
